131 : Outfit Post : Cache Adventures : Snowy Caching

Because I'm really trying to stick with my goal of caching at least once a week, I often find myself on a Saturday, looking for nearby caches. A few Saturdays ago, I needed to drop off something in Brecksville, OH. Mom and I headed out for our errand, after having grabbed the neighbor's dog, so we could combine errand running with caching and get the dog out. We found a cache near the apartment complex where I was doing the dropping off and we went for it. It turned out to be a bit more of a hike than expected, but was so fun! From there, we headed over to my brother's house for Bella the Golden Retriever puppy to meet Damien the Bull Mastiff dog!!

Fashion for caching is definitely more utilitarian than aesthetic. Mom likes jeans, warm layers, good boots, hand and ear coverings. I tend toward warm layers, yoga pants, good boots, and an overcoat. I generally keep my gloves in my pockets but often remove and replace them as I use an iPhone app for finding caches and have to dig out and sign the log. Also, ignore the creepy headshot for a good look at my ombre hairs!!!

  1. I lover your outfits! Mom looks amazing :) The snow, my lord I would need more layers than that. I've never played in the snowy north before. Not with a thick blanket of snow on the ground. Seen some flurries once or twice...

  2. @Van : Well, if you're outside playing, you need fewer layers than you'd think. Your body warms up with movement pretty easily. It's all about keeping your ears and hands and feet warm so that they don't start to hurt! Playing in the snow is so fun!!
